Evelyn G. Heigh, DPM, is a native of Arizona and is delighted to return to her hometown to help patients with disorders of the foot and ankle. Dr. Heigh attended Arizona State University on a full academic scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a major in Kinesiology. She attended Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University to pursue her medical interest where her passion for community service and leadership led to her being presented with the Spirit of Service Scholarship.
Dr. Heigh completed a comprehensive foot and ankle medical and surgical residency at Northwell Health Hospital System in Long Island, NY and completed a Fellowship in Podiatric Sports Medicine at the UCLA affiliated Podiatry Program in Los Angeles, CA.
During her schooling and career, Dr. Heigh conducted clinical research, presented at national Podiatric medical meetings, and has published her scientific works. Dr. Heigh is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Board Qualified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Podiatry is a natural extension of her interest in mobility and human motion. Dr. Heigh’s goal is to return patients to their normal active lifestyle through promotion of health, and enhancement of mobility through either conservative therapy or surgery when necessary.
Throughout her career, Dr. Heigh has volunteered with the Special Olympics. She also participates in Special Olympics ‘Fit Feet’, a program where athletes are examined at various sporting events and provided with therapeutic recommendations.
Dr. Heigh is an avid tennis player, enjoys the outdoors, and loves to travel.
